Likewise BB OS  BB 10 OS is a proprietary mobile Operating System developed by BlackBerry Limited.(RIM)

BlackBerry 10 is based on QNX  which is Unix-like Real Time Operating System. BlackBerry 10 supports Qt framework (ver. 4.8) and a Android Runtime for Android Applications support. BB 10 is a closed source OS unlike Android which Open Source free to develop. 
It was originally code named BBX but later changed to BB10. 
This OS was first launched  on January 30, 2013 on two very popular BlackBerry Devices 'BlackBerry Z10 and BlackBerry Q10'. 
Though Company also said they would release update for their BlackBerry PlayBook Tablet later in 2013 but they failed to provide the update for 'PlayBook'. The reason cited was the hardware of PlayBook won't prove good enough so the Company planned to develop and support PlayBook with its separate Tablet OS.




Now coming to Features of BB 10 OS: 

"One of the best feature of any BlackBerry 10 device is its security. Compared to Android devices which are prone to malware attacks and other attacks BlackBerry is the Most Secure OS one can have."

Other Features: 
  • BlackBerry Hub - All in one hub or space for your messages and notifications receive call, ,message(SMS/MMS), emails, updates, calender, social updates notifications and more just under one roof "The BlackBerry Hub". The users can also create, view or act upon messages directly from Hub without the need to open apps individually. 
  • Q5, Q10 Classic and Passport supports a Physical Keyboard for those who love typing using physical buttons on a smartphone.
  • Voice Control and BlackBerry Assistant - Its an Intelligent Personal Assistant (requires OS updated to 10.3.1 or above)
  • multitasking is superb on a BlackBerry 10 device since its based on a real time microkernel. When a user returns to home screen from within an application, the application is minimized into an "Active-Frame" works similarly like widgets in Android.
  • Coming to Controls BB 10 is gesture based OS and there are no on screen or physical buttons like Android devices such as 'back' or 'home' button. Except there are volume and Power button and also a Mute button which are physical.
  • BlackBerry ID : gives access to BlackBerry services, BlackBerry websites and BlackBerry World.
  • Amazon App Store and Android App Support From OS 10.3.1 and above.

BlackBerry 10.3.3.2205 is the latest release, released on 12 December 2016. But most devices are still running 10.3.2. update depends on carrier approval and region.

Other BlackBerry 10 devices Q10,Q5, Z30, P'9982, Z3, Passport, Classic and Leap.

Conclusion: As of Q3 2016 BlackBerry's market share was 0.9%  according to Statista. 

Amidst all these and latest release of BlackBerry Android Powered devices, Alex Thurber, senior vice President of global device sales at BlackBerry affirmed that BlackBerry is continuing to invest in BB10.
BB 10 has many users from Enterprise and Government sectors as well as consumers in particular markets. 
Apart from these BlackBerry has to deal with issues such as official WhatsApp support for BB 10 devices.

Google Play Store for BlackBerry 10  'Play Store 10' aka BBPlay10 By bbtalkz:  Since we all know that BlackBerry 10 OS supports installing of android apps directly and users can install android .apk files on their BlackBerry Smartphones. BlackBerry released Amazon Appstore for BlackBerry 10 users in OS version 10.3.X........
